Types of Antifreeze/Coolant

How does Antifreeze Work?
All vehicles produce energy by means of combustion in the engine. This is necessary to make a vehicle run, but it can also result to overheating and damage to the engine.
To avoid such trouble, car manufacturers utilize a cooling system within the engine and radiator of a car. This system uses a coolant fluid, which is a mixture of water and antifreeze, to keep the metal parts cool.

How to Add Coolant to Your Vehicle
Adding antifreeze/coolant to your vehicle to maintain cleanliness in the coolant system is helpful to keep your car running smoothly in any road or weather condition.
This process is simple and all you need are: work gloves, a funnel, safety glasses, a flashlight, and the coolant. Do not add coolant to your car right after driving. Allow your car to cool down for at least 3 hours.
To begin, lift your car’s hood and locate the reservoir for the coolant. The reservoir is typically a clear container with a screw-top located near the radiator. It is often made of plastic material.
Unscrew the cap on the coolant reservoir and see how much antifreeze or coolant is left in there. You may need to use a flashlight to check it.
Pour in the coolant to the reservoir and fill it up to the maximum capacity line. Once full, screw the plastic cap back on and start your car so the coolant runs through the engine and radiator.
